Cala Del Lago...what does it mean?
Translated from Spanish, Cala Del Lago means "lake cove."
We chose the name because a quiet cove on the lake has always been one of the places where our family finds peace. It represents slowing down, being present, and appreciating the moments that matter most.
The Spanish name also reflects part of our family's heritage, and from the beginning it simply felt like the right fit.
Cala Del Lago was built around a simple message: Find Your Peace.
Our story is where the brand began, but it isn't the story we want to tell.
Our hope is that, through the community we're building and the families we support, Cala Del Lago becomes part of the stories others continue to write.
Building a brand that gives back, how so?
From the beginning, giving back has been part of Cala Del Lago's purpose.
Supporting families facing pediatric cancer isn't simply a cause we chose - it's personal. One of our founders is a pediatric cancer survivor, and that experience shaped the heart of this brand.
As Cala Del Lago grows, we hope to find even more ways to make a positive impact. But one mission will always remain at the center of what we do: helping ease the financial burden for families navigating pediatric cancer so they can focus on what matters most.
Where do the designs come from?
Every Cala Del Lago design begins with a drawing from our oldest son.
Like many kids, he loves to create. His artwork is inspired by family memories, places we've visited, animals he discovers, and whatever happens to capture his imagination.
One day we asked if he'd like to see one of his drawings on a T-shirt. His smile said everything.
From that moment on, we knew Cala Del Lago wouldn't be built around artwork created by professionals. It would be built around the creativity of our family.
We carefully digitize each drawing while preserving the details that make it unique. The little imperfections aren't flaws to us - they're what make each design authentic and remind us where it all began.
Your message, Find Your Peace - can you elaborate?
Find Your Peace has always been more than a slogan to us.
It's a reminder.
A reminder to slow down, be present, and make time for the people and places that matter most.
For our family, peace has been found in quiet mornings, time on the water, watching our kids grow, long runs, meaningful conversations, sunsets, and simply being together.
For someone else, it may look completely different.
That's the beauty of it.
Cala Del Lago isn't here to define what peace means. We simply hope to encourage people to pause long enough to find their own.
